About Us

Project 66 Food & Resource Center is a faith-based, 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides food and resources to people who are facing food insecurity in Edmond, Arcadia, Guthrie, Jones, and Luther, Oklahoma.

Since our founding in 2010, Project 66 has been at the forefront of the fight against hunger in central Oklahoma. As a partner agency with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, Project 66 distributes food to people who would otherwise go undernourished, such as children, the elderly, the disabled, and families who are facing difficult economic times. We also connect our clients with local resources that may help them with other issues they are facing, such as finding community clinics, learning English, or getting assistance with rent or utilities.

What is Project 66 ?

Our name comes from our original location in Arcadia, Oklahoma, just off of the historic Route 66 highway. Our considerable growth since 2010 made it necessary for us to move to a larger facility in Edmond, away from Route 66. Nonetheless, we wanted to stay true to our roots, so we changed our name from the "Route 66 Project" to the Project 66 Food & Resource Center. While our name and location have changed, our mission has always stayed the same - to serve those who are struggling, in the name of Jesus Christ.
